“If we are to have peace on earth, our loyalties must become ecumenical rather than sectional. Our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective.”– Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A world perspective starts with seeing the world through another person’s eyes.

You gain a more powerful perspective when you get past your ego and walk in their shoes.

Transcending our tribe is hard.

But it is the only way we can truly connect with others.

In the end, peace comes from the realization that we are all connected. And we always were from the very beginning.

We need to believe it and act that way.

Happy MLK Day!

Cheers,

John
